DDS Screens

The DDS screens are the forms used to specify and receive information to or from the EUB. These forms are very similar to many other computer application.

Screen Items

Each screen is designed to enable you to quickly and accurately present the required information. Although these screens vary in design, they use common items. These are listed and briefly discussed below.

check boxes	item 1 item 2 item 3	Check boxes allow you to choose any number of choices.
command buttons		Command buttons initiate a system function including opening a new screen. The purpose of a command button is usually identified by a text label on the button. To activate the command button action, you click on it with the mouse button.
drop-down lists	first choice second choice third choice fourth choice	Drop-down lists allow you to select one item from a fixed list of choices. They show only one choice until the list button is clicked.
entry fields		Entry fields allow you to type in information.

Some list boxes allow only one choice while others allow multiple items to be selected. Try using the SHIFT and CRTL keys when selecting items from a multiple choice list box.
options	choose: transfer, or transferee, and choice 1 choice 2 choice 3	Options allow you to select one item from a fixed number of items. Selecting one items immediately un-selects all other items.
page navigation buttons		Page navigation buttons move you from on page to the next when the DDS function involves a series of screens.
show/hide details		To hide or show the specific details within a region of the screen, click on either the hide button or the show button.
