Search users

Select Search Users in Administrator Options to show information about existing users.

 

Enter one or more of the following search parameters:

Description

BA

View the AER Business Associate (BA) code and associated company name.

Login ID

Enter the user's DDS login ID.

User Name

Enter the user name.

Application Role

From the drop-down list, select an application role.

DDS Security Role

From the drop-down list, select the DDS Security role.

Role

Description

Master Security Administrator

The highest company role. This role can create other Master Security Administrators, Role Administrators, and Users. This role can inactivate a user or reset a password. This role inherits all the application roles and controls which roles are assigned to which user IDs.

Role Administrator

Administration of who has access to roles. This role does not have the extended administrative privileges of the Company Master Security Administrator.

User Status

Set a User ID to active or inactive. An active status lets the user log into DDS. An inactive status means the user is not permitted access to DDS.

 

Currently users cannot be deleted; they can only be made inactive. This allows audit trails and logs to report on historical events and users.

Password Status

Select from the following:

Status

Description

Active

Set by DDS after a successful initial log on where a new password and the secret question and answer have been entered

First Time

Set by DDS when a User Status changes from Inactive to Active and the Secret Question has not been entered

Incorrect Login Attempts

Set by DDS when the user has reached the maximum number of log on attempts

 

Click Search to list the User IDs that match the criteria in the lower part of the window. Click a User ID to open it for editing. The existing user profile for the User ID is shown. See Add User for a description of the User Profile fields.
