1. H2S release rate well prognosis by potential H2S horizon

This is where you address the H2S potential of all prospective formations encountered by the well. If your analysis has determined that there is no potential to meet H2S in a formation, you must demonstrate that the formation has been considered in your evaluation by recording zero for the release rate information.

For the purpose of the H2S evaluation, you must consider the formation encountered at the total depth when completing the drilling case (i.e., evaluate the 15 m overhole formation).

1.  Type H2S details directly in the Drilling Case, Completion/Servicing Case, and Suspended/Producing Case fields. Once the first entry is made, the Add Next H2S Rate button becomes active so that you can add additional formations.

2.  To change existing H2S details, click View to the left of the details to change (a pencil () appears to the left of the formation name of the currently selected H2S details). The H2S details appear at the top of the H2S Release Rate Well Prognosis by Potential H2S Horizon pane. Type the desired information based on the following:

Formation Name
Required

From the drop-down list, select the formation(s) considered in your H2S evaluation.

Drilling Case (m3/s)
Required

Enter the drilling case H2S release rate in m3/s (to 4 decimals) for each formation considered in your H2S evaluation. Include the formation encountered at total depth when completing drilling case.

Enter zero (0) if there is no potential to encounter H2S in the formation.

Completion/Servicing (m3/s)
Required

Enter the completion/service case H2S release rate in m3/s (to 4 decimals) for each formation considered in your H2S evaluation.

Enter zero (0) if there is no potential to encounter H2S in the formation.

Suspended/Producing Case (m3/s)
Required

Enter the suspended/production case H2S release rate in m3/s (to 4 decimals) for each formation you plan to produce that was considered in your H2S evaluation.

Enter zero (0) if there is no potential to encounter H2S in the formation.

3.  Click Save to add the formation to the main list. Repeat to enter additional locations.
